SAN JOSE, CA (PRWEB) MAY 25, 2016

RootBSD brought its dedicated cloud platform hosting service for Silicon Valley OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD developers — a month later, the company now offers instant dedicated MAAS platform deployments for its *BSD-centric clients.

OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD developers now have the choice of cloud or bare metal server deployments at RootBSD’s facility at its San Jose Central Colo – SV1 datacenter. It connects to more than 125 providers and is one of the world’s largest peering exchanges, with direct connections to hundreds of companies colocated in the facility.

“We are very pleased to be able to give an option of cloud or MAAS services for clients who utilize our San Jose data center for their deployments,” Mark Price, CEO of RootBSD said. “Choice is very important to *BSD users and developers, and in that spirit we’re pleased they can now choose the platform that best meets their needs.”

Bare metal services allow developers to deploy servers in seconds, using real processors and dedicated storage at a very competitive price. This allows a user or developer to install the *BSD flavor of their choice and customize their services from the ground up.

In addition, all RootBSD services come with a native IPv6 connection. RootBSD has provided *BSD IPv6 capable services for years. With the exhaustion of older, legacy “IPv4” address space, IPv6 capability is becoming a critical requirement for any online presence and RootBSD is able to bring that to the *BSD world.
